Within the project Energizing reform,the Peace and Freedom Organization organized a dialogue session to discuss the importance of implementing the enforced disappearance law. The session was held at the Peace Community Center in Mosul Governorate on June 24, 2021, in the presence of a group of families of the forcibly disappeared.

 

During the session, the families of the forcibly disappeared showed their interesting toward the draft law and the recommendations that have collected through the research of the Energizing reform project. In addition,the stories of enforced disappearance and the methods of enforced disappearance were presented and why the process of enforced disappearance happenings and the suffering faced by families while conducting the transactions of the forcibly disappeared, asking the Iraqi government to helping them to research for their missing persons.
