This Monday, the Iraqi JISRA Advisory Body members met for the first time to discuss ways in which they can best support the JISRA project to promote and influence FoRB in Iraq. The advisory body will serve as an independent body from JISRA to ensure that the 5-year long peacebuilding project meets its long-term goal of 'creating resilient and inclusive communities in which religious actors are sustainable advocates for FoRB and interface peace'.

They will do this by having general oversight of activities and their effectiveness, as well as providing advice within their expertise to ensure that the project is optimized. The members are high-profile leaders in Iraqi society and consist of both women and men of all ages.
