Storytelling Training as part of the Cultural Heritage and Peaceful Coexistence ProjectA four-day training workshop was held in Erbil from May 11-14, 2026, for the "Our Heritage connect Us" project team, comprised of influential young men and women active in the fields of heritage and coexistence. The workshop was organized by the Peace and Freedom Organization.

Exchange visits between peaceful coexistence bodies and communities in Kirkuk and Shekhan, and a meeting with the Minister of Endowments in the KRIAs part of the JISRA project, which aims to promote the values of peaceful and religious coexistence among communities in Kirkuk and its surrounding areas, the Peace and Freedom Organization implemented a series of activities on May 30 and 31, including a private meeting with Dr. Pshtiwan Sadiq, Minister of Endowments in the Kurdistan Regional Government, with the aim of building a sustainable partnership and promoting social dialogue. Return to Sinjar: The Yazidi Community’s Journey Home and the Challenges AheadOn January 23, 2024, the Council of Ministers of the Iraqi Government adopted a decision to close all internally displaced persons (hereafter referred to as IDP) camps in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (hereafter referred to as KRI) by July 31, 2024. According to the Government of Iraq (hereafter referred to as GoI), this decision is intended to encourage the safe and voluntary return of IDPs to their places of origin, as part of a broader policy to end displacement in Iraq, including the KRI.

The 2023 Report highlights the challenges and violations faced by workers globally.

The Condition of Workers’ Rights and Freedom of Tade In Kurdistan Region and Iraq“Workers Rights and Freedom of Association” is a joint project run by PFOK and NPA in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. The project, which has an implementation period of four years, began in July 2016. A number of researchers from PFOK have conducted a study of the project between July and December of 2016. By using a mixed methods approach, this study tries to reveal the workers’ conditions and the freedom of association and unions in a legal and social framework.
