In the presence and participation of a number of KRG foundation representatives, the national youth forum was held in Erbil that a number of panels, matters and requests of youths were presented.

The forum was held in 24 of Feb. 2021 by the organizations of Peace and Freedom, Civil Development and Search for common ground, and the Youth Leadership members of (Shexan, Sumel, Soran, Chamchamal, Ranya and Halabja) were attended, and also the representatives of KRG, culture ministry and youth, Kurdistan parliament members and the representatives of other civil society organizations were participated.

Two panels were discussed in the forum, the first was was the matter of youths, projects and youth obstacles were shed light on, and the second panel was for the responsible aspects and activists to discuss the youth matters and obstacles.

The project of Youth Leadership Council is being funded by Search for Common Ground Organization and implementing by "Peace and Freedom Organization, and Civil Development Organization." The councils are consisting of 6 councils that each of them includes 30 members (15 males and 15 females). The members of the councils are performing their tasks and activities in a voluntary way, the matters of youths are their main focus.
