On 24-1-2022, a delegation of the Peace and Freedom organization with the director of the center of Gender and Development at the American University in Sulaimaniyah (Choman Hardi) visited the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to discuss the final stage of adding a gender course study to the programs of media departments at the universities and institutes in KRI. In the meeting, Mr. Khatab Ahmad, the director of the Department of Studying, Planning, and Follow-up, welcomed the initiative, which the Peace and Freedom Organization coordinated with the media departments and gender centers at universities and institutes to implement such a course.

It is decided that after discussing this issue during the ministry's council, a formal letter will be generalized toall universities and institutes by the ministry to add the gender course into the programs of media departments. For this purpose, the Peace and Freedom Organization has prepared a special course book for media departments that teachers can use it.
