
On February 3, 2022, PFO conducted a full-day workshop within its strategic project (Transformative/ Restorative Justice in Nineveh) at its Peace Hub Center in Hamdania district in the Nineveh Plain, in which it hosted 17 volunteer teams working in Nineveh to provide community services and trainings that serves and help Nineveh community to improve. Where MoU and CoCs have been signed to start the project implementation.
This workshop addressed three main themes:
The first theme: Develop proposal/Report templates for initiatives and activities, and then an open discussion with the team representatives to agree on a joint work mechanism to implement activities/ initiatives that should focus on:
1. Conflict transformation and resolution: increasing cooperation between victim groups to defend their rights, and facilitating access to local, national and international justice mechanisms and channels.
2. Gender equality: increasing the space for marginalized and disadvantaged groups to participate in transformational justice processes.
The second theme: proposal writing training have you provided within the workshop for those team representatives, in addition to how to formulate an appropriate and realistic budget for the implementation of these activities/ initiatives.
The third theme: Agree with the team representatives on mechanisms of accountability to beneficiaries and protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (AAP, PSEA).
