Peace and Freedom Organization and in partnership with Internews organized a one-day workshop at Erbil on 28/5/2022. To discuss about designing a gender course study for media departments at the universities and institutions of the Central and southern governorates of Iraq.

Designing this course aimed to educate and raising student’s awareness in media departments towards gender issues and gender equality in media sector. The participants of the workshop were lectures of media departments at the Mosul and Basra universities, and representatives of the women lead organizations.

This activity was part of the implementation of “our voice” project, which has been implemented by Peace and Freedom Organization in partnership with Internews and with the financial support of Swedish SIDA in Iraq and the Kurdistan region.
