
With the participation of a group of religions, to set up a series of dialogue sessions within religions to promote freedom of religion and belief.
Peace and Freedom Organization-PFO organized the first dialogue session with the Christian component, the second session with the Kaka’i component, the third session with Muslims, and also the fourth session was held on June 12, 2022 with the Sabian component within the framework of the Jisra project (the joint initiative for strategic religious action)
The session focused on the importance of building peace, social cohesion, and freedom to embrace religion from the perspective of the Sabian community, and on the other hand, the dialogue touched upon the importance of building peaceful coexistence within the Sabean community and with other communityies. The dialogue also touched on the importance of the role of human rights in the field of freedom of religion and the practice of religious rituals, since Kirkuk is a city of brotherhood and social peace among all components. The participants pointed out the difficulties and challenges faced by the Sabean component.
The session was held in Kirkuk Governorate, with the participation of a group of civil activists, professionals and university students.
Noteworthy to mention that this activity is part of a project joint initiative for strategic religious action-JISRA implemented by the Peace and Freedom Organization-PFO in partnership with the Dutch organization Mensen met een missie.
