In the framework of the Energizing Reform project, which considers two legal drafts to protect people from enforced disappearance, and protect diversity and prevent discrimination, Peace and Freedom Organization-PFO in Erbil on June 18, 2022 organized a dialogue session to discuss the texts of two legal drafts.

The Energizing Reform project started working on these laws since 2020, where it carried out many activities that include consultation meeting, validation sessions, focus groups discussion, as well as individual interviews. The project conducted a qualitative research study for each of the two drafts, extract a summary of the recommendations and suggestions for the texts of two drafts.

Today, a number of local and international organizations, members of parliament, civil activists and people who have knowledge and interest in the issue participated in studying and reconsidering the legal texts and articles included in the two laws.
