 Nineveh Victims Forum conducted under the title “We differed by our names and united by our tragedies”, which was organized by Peace and Freedom Organization, on the occasion of the painful anniversary of a group of atrocities in the conflict in Nineveh, namely the Yazidi genocide in Sinjar, the occupation of the Nineveh Plain, the memory of the martyrs of Al-Khasfa in Mosul and other tragedies left by the violence. In remembrance of the victims.
 
The forum included a set of remembrance activities, such as photo exhibitions, narrative paintings, free drawing, theatrical and video performances, storytelling, and activities aimed at promoting community cohesion, and a variety of sessions.  Introducing its components and experiences from Kaka’i, Shabak, Christians, Yazidis, Muslims, Kurds, Arabs and Turkmens, and conveying the voice of their victims to the local and international community, with a wide presence of men and women from many villages and cities.
 The objective of the forum is to deliver a message that recognizes the sacrifices of all the components of Nineveh, highlighting the peculiarities of the experiences of the various components and their tragedies in the events of the painful conflict that Nineveh experienced, and to commemorate the memory of their victims, foremost of which is the Yazidi genocide, while strengthening the spirit of belonging to the homeland, and upholding the national identity that embraces all As a comprehensive identity and an umbrella under which all Iraqis, who have united with their pain/n, stand, believing in the principles of equality, solidarity and inclusion of all, and respecting rights and freedoms to move towards sustainable peace.
