
On Tuesday, September 20, 2022 in Basra Governorate, a training of trainers course in cooperative work in the agricultural sector began within the project (Improving working conditions and developing interventions at the level of farms in the agricultural sector in Iraq), a project of the International Labor Organization and implemented by the Peace and Freedom Organization and funded by European Union.
The training targets 25 people of both genders from representatives of agricultural cooperative societies, farmers’ unions, non-governmental organizations, trade unions and representatives of relevant government agencies. The training lasts for five days and deals with the two training manuals (ThinkCoop) and (StartCoop) and the training process is carried out by an international trainer specialized in this topic.
After training is accomplished, Several male and female trainees will provide practical training to representatives of agricultural cooperative societies in Basra Governorate.
