On November 31, 2022, Peace and Freedom Organization managed a field visit to the office of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) in Erbil for 20 employees and activists of the civil society organizations, who are currently participating in a one-month capacity building course.

The visit was intended to familiarize participants with the work of  UN agencies in the region.

The representatives of UN agencies including the Human Rights Office, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, UNAMI’s Office of Electoral Assistance, and UNWOMEN all presented their work, activities, and coordination mechanisms with government institutions and civil society organizations.

This activity is part of the project of empowering the employees and activists of the civil society organizations in KRI, which is a project implemented by Peace and Freedom Organization in partnership with Novact.
