At the invitation of the U.S. Consulate General Erbil, Peace and Freedom Organization participated in a meeting between the deputy Chief of the U.S Mission in Iraq David Burger, and a group of NGO leaders who advocate for greater freedom of expression for media in the Kurdistan region.

The meeting was organized on October 26 to address the media landscape and challenges faced by media and journalists in the region.

The US Consul General of Erbil, Mr. Irvin Hicks also attended the meeting and reiterated the commitment of the US consulate to support freedom of expression in the region.
