Peace and Freedom Organization managed a field visit to the Independent Commission for Human Rights on December 5, 2022, for a group of employees and activists of civil society organizations, who currently participate in the second capacity-building course.

The participants had close discussions with the Director General of Relations and Media of the Independent Human Rights Commission/Kurdistan, Mr. Mohammed Sabir, the Director of Communications and Mr. Hemn Mahmoud, the Director of media.

The structure of the Commission, its roles, and responsibilities to protect human rights in the Kurdistan region were addressed during the discussions.

This activity is part of a project targeting employees and activists of civil society organizations that Peace and Freedom Organization is implementing in partnership with Novact (a Spanish organization) in the Kurdistan Region.
