The representative of Peace and Freedom Organization attended a consultation meeting led by the Speaker of the Kurdistan Parliament on February, 2023 in Erbil. The meeting intended to know the perspective of civil society organizations, academics, and experts on the notion of having a hate speech draft law in the Kurdistan region.

Regardless of important discussions about legal framework and regulations to deal with and stop hate speech, the representative of Peace and Freedom Organization addressed the need of appropriate condition for enacting and implementing such kind of law with particular concern on freedom of expression.
