
Peace and Freedom Organization participated in The meeting, which lasted for 5 days, included several axes, including presentation on the reality of freedom of religion in Iraq, Palestine, and Lebanon. also presention on Musawat's work during the bast three years from the results, success stories, lessons learned, challenges, and the methodology for implementing activities.
It also included setting steps and goals to complement work on the issue of freedom of religion and belief, according to the needs of each country, by involving youth, religion leaders, and institutions within the upcoming action plan.
As for the last day, it included work on outcome harvesting of the results from Musawat project for the year 2022 - 2023.
This meeting comes within the framework of a regional meeting that brings together, for the first time, local partners from the three countries in the Musawat Program since its launch in 2020.
Note that Musawat is a 3-year regional project from 2020-2023, implemented by the Dutch Org. Pace and its partners in Iraq, Lebanon and Palestine, and aims engage young women and men to address discrimination on the basis of religion and beliefs occurring within the social, legal and political spheres as well as on social media. It also aims to promote key concepts and tools such as dialogue, citizenship and equal rights among people regardless of religion, gender, belief, and ethnicity.
