In the presence of Iraqi parliamentarians, religion leaders, representatives of civil society organizations, in addition to the youth volunteers in the program. During the conference was presented the activities of the program for a period of 3 years by the program coordinator, and it was followed by sessions on presenting the reality of freedom of religion in Iraq, presented by Dr. Saad Salloum, Mr. Khadher Domli, and Mr. Michael Benjamin, which were facilitated by Hala Majeed.
A discussion session on freedom of religion from the point of view of the press was presented by the journalists who wrote articles within the booklet issued by Musawat Program.
The researches that were conducted over three years by the researchers were also presented. Noting that Musawat Program is a regional project implemented in Iraq, Lebanon and Palestine in partnership with the Dutch organization since 2020 and aims to engage young men and women to address discrimination on the basis of religion and belief that occurs within the social, legal and political spheres as well as on social media.
