
The representative of Peace and Freedom Organization participated , in the Peer Exchange Meeting, to exchange knowledge and updates of the feminist work for peace and non-violence, which was organized by the International Women's League for Peace and Freedom, and was held in Tbilisi / Georgia from 13-15 June 2023.
The meeting was organized as well in collaboration with a group of research institutions and international organizations working for peace, such as for Peace, SwissPeace, the National Democratic Institute of The USA, for Peace, International Peace Institute and other organizations working in Africa, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
It is noteworthy to mention that the International Women's League for Peace and Freedom was founded in 1915, it is a non-governmental, non-profit organization with branches in 37 countries, its headquarters are in Geneva, having as well an office at the United Nations in New York.
It works to bring together women from different political orientations and religious backgrounds to analyze and define the causes of violence and work for sustainable peace, uniting women around the world against exploitation, as this was what framed the objectives of the meeting, which discussed ways to address the structural drivers of violence.
