After the third general assembly of the organization, the Board of Directors of Peace and Freedom Organization held its second meeting today July 20, 2023 in Erbil.

The meeting addressed the activities of the organization and the division of tasks and responsibilities among the board members. The meeting also highlighted the results of the third general assembly and the follow-up of the decisions and recommendations resulted from the assembly.

As an abidance to the by-law of the organization and in order to protect the independency of the organization, it was decided to withdraw the membership from those who are in decision-making positions within political parties, as well as those who are presidents or deputies of other CSOs. It was also decided to open the door to admit new membership that will be conditional and the methods, mechanisms and criteria of membership will be announced in the future.

The board is scheduled to hold special meetings with different departments of the organization in the coming weeks in order to implement the decisions and recommendations of the third assembly and ensure better implementation of the programs.
