In the third week of July 2023, the activities of the Jamal Our Differences initiative, which was implemented by Al-Ezz Organization for Development and Development with the support of Peace and Freedom Organization and within the Participatory Grantmaking of JISRA Project in Kirkuk Governorate, were concluded.

The initiative included four activities in order as follows:


The first activity: a participatory dialogue session for young people from different components and nationalities, media, activists, academics and students of different ages of both sexes, and this session came as a preparatory step for holding a camp in the governorate.


The second activity: a participatory interactive camp between the various components, the goal of the camp is to promote peaceful coexistence between the different components in the governorate, the camp contained various interactive activities, such as games, group discussions, exchange of ideas and experiences between participants, in addition to lectures and short presentations from experts in the field of peaceful coexistence and community cohesion. Then he presented historical experiences and situations in Kirkuk Governorate, which are related to different religions and show the interdependence between the various components of Kirkuk, and how these events contributed to strengthening relations between religions.


The third activity: brochures and posters of coexistence, love and brotherhood were distributed in Kirkuk Governorate, these publications expressed the importance of the diversity enjoyed by the province and reminded community members during the distribution of the wealth of cultural, religious and component diversity in which the governorate enjoys and emphasizing the need to strengthen these ties between the various components of Kirkuk Governorate.

 

The fourth activity: the final initiative festival, where a closing festival was held for the activities of the Beauty of Our Differences initiative, and the festival brought together a group of beneficiaries and participants in the implementation of the initiative and celebrated the product of their initiative, as the festival also included musical and interactive participatory paragraphs in which the attendees expressed their gratitude for this type of initiative that certainly promotes peaceful coexistence and a culture of acceptance of the other in a province rich in diversity such as Kirkuk
