Peace and Freedom attended the first meeting of an international initiative to counter the rise of new waves of authoritarianism.

The meeting was held in Barcelona, ​​Catalonia, Spain, between November 6-8 of 2023.

The initiative, called The Nonviolence factory (TNF), aims to create a better response to the wave of authoritarianism and ultimately move from confronting authoritarianism to rebuilding a new ecosystem capable of moving forward and changing the future.

The Nonviolence Factory aims to become an international reference point for promoting a new ecosystem based on human rights, nonviolence and democracy.

The initiative is a training school, bringing together different actors of society that focuses on promoting strategies to confront authoritarianism and defend human rights and democracy in the Euro-Mediterranean region, held annually in Barcelona.

The Nonviolence Workshop was organized by NOVACT for Nonviolence in collaboration with leading human rights and civil advocacy organizations.
