On January 29, 2024, Peace and Freedom Organization held a dialogue session in Kirkuk office with attending of activists and volunteers in civil society, in addition to state employees, to discuss the roots of the conflict in the city, with a focus on the return of the IDPs to their areas, in addition to the challenges facing IDPs in the city and the obstacles to return.
 
also, the attendees discussed initiatives and proposals that enhance stability and security in the city, as well as initiatives implemented in displaced areas to encourage safe return.
 
Some of the participants indicated that the delay in some service projects in the displaced areas is part of their non-return, and also some of them settled in the city and have their own busness.
 
This activity was implemented within Building Peace and Stability in Iraq Project in partnership with the International Rescue Committee and with the support of FCDO.
