Peace and Freedom with Iraq Human Rights Watch Society (IHRW) in cooperation with Iraqi Ministry of Planning conduct a two-day workshop in Erbil.
For discussing the effect of population policy on human right in presence of representatives from Ministry of Justice, Ministry of foreign affairs, Ministry of Immigration and Displaced Persons, Minister of Labor and Affairs, Commission for Human Rights, the Department of Non-Governmental Organizations, Office of Religious Endowments, and local and international organizations.
the Document of National Population Policy contain eleven axes and had been discussed four of it from a human rights perspective during the two days; the axes are:
1st axes: childhood rights and protection
2nd axes: youth and employment
3rd axes: marginalized population groups
4th axis: population and climate change
At the end of the workshop had come out with recommendations and suggestion that will promote and strength the national document and those recommendation will include in a detailed report in the future to be presented for the related ministries and authorities.
