On February 21, 2024, Peace and Freedom Organization held a dialogue session in Jalawla district - Diyala, in the attendees of a number of the host community, IDPs and some decision-makers, in order to discuss the challenges facing IDPs and returnees, which prevent their return to their areas.

 

The attendees of the session also discussed the most important initiatives and proposals that enhance safe return and the importance of reintegration in the region after displacement.

 

where the attendees mentioned the issue of compensation and the return grant constitutes a major challenge, in addition to the lack of job opportunities in their areas and the lack of support for the agricultural sector and livestock, given that these areas depend on agriculture and livestock raising as an income for living.
