On March 9, 2024, Peace and Freedom Organization in Kirkuk held a session to present the results and recommendations of the dialogue sessions, which were about the challenges that limit the return of IDPs and the most important initiatives that contribute to enhancing community integration.
 
 
This was in the presence of a number of activists from Kirkuk society.
 
Had been discussed the challenges, including agricultural problems and drought in rural areas, and the lack of job opportunities and services in displaced areas.
 
The importance of the role of the local government in rehabilitating and providing basic services in those areas and supporting voluntary safe return was also praised.
 
n conclusion, it was also discussed how to implement part of the recommendations in the form of initiatives that promote community peace and integration.
 
This activity was implemented within Building Peace and Stability in Iraq in partnership with the International Rescue Committee and with the support of FCDO.
