Peace and Freedom Organization, in collaboration with the United Planet organization, is running a 7-week virtual exchange program called (Youth2Youth Impact Investing). This program brings youth teams together (female and male) from Iraq, Syria, and the United States to promote economic growth, peace, and prosperity.
The program includes 60 youth leader’s female and male from over 20 colleges and universities in the United States, Iraq, and Syria. These students meet weekly on Zoom to discuss important topics like social enterprises, social impact investing, business model development, and creating pitch decks. Now in its fifth week, the participants are actively sharing ideas and working on projects together. The program aims to develop Youth skills in impact investment and other important areas for the 21st century needed skills. It also helps build Relationship among young people from different countries and supports social enterprises that address sustainable development goals.
The Youth2Youth Impact Investing program is implemented by United Planet and is supported by the J. Christopher Stevens Virtual Exchange Initiative (JCSVEI). JCSVEI is a U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs program administered by the Aspen Institute.
