On the 6th-7th of September 2024, the Peace and Freedom Organization organized a dialogue workshop as a religious forum in the Duhok Governorate.

The workshop included academics, school principals, educational supervisors, and legal university professors in the Sheikhan district. The workshop was implemented as part of the "JISRA" project (The Joint Initiative for Strategic Religious Action) in collaboration with the Search for Common Ground organization.

Its aim was to promote coexistence, peace, and the preservation of the diverse religious heritage in the region.

Additionally, challenges facing these efforts to enhance coexistence and understanding among the community members in the Sheikhan district were identified.

Furthermore, the workshop sought to gather actionable ideas within the scope of launching initiatives and advocacy campaigns aimed at promoting and solidifying peaceful coexistence between religions and preserving and protecting antiquities in the Sheikhan district
