On September 13th and 14th, 2024, the Peace and Freedom Organization organized a dialogue workshop as a forum for peaceful coexistence in Erbil Governorate, involving Journalists and activists in the field of civil society from Sheikhan District and its surroundings. The workshop was carried out as part of the "JISRA" project (Joint Initiative for Strategic Religious Action) in cooperation with the Search for Common Ground Organization, with the aim of promoting coexistence and peace, and preserving the heritage and antiquities of the diverse religions in the area.

The challenges facing these efforts to enhance coexistence and understanding among the community members in Sheikhan District were also identified. In addition, the workshop aimed to gather actionable ideas within the scope of launching initiatives and advocacy campaigns aimed at promoting and reinforcing peaceful coexistence between religions and preserving and protecting the antiquities in Sheikhan District
