On September 16, 2024, the Peace and Freedom Organization organized a dialogue workshop as a forum for peaceful coexistence in Duhok Governorate. The workshop included religious actors and local community leaders from Sheikhan district and its surroundings. It was implemented within the "JISRA" project (the Joint Initiative for Strategic Religious Action) in cooperation with the Search for Common Ground organization, aiming to promote coexistence, peace, and preserve the heritage and antiquities of the region's diverse religions.

Challenges facing these efforts to promote coexistence and understanding among community members in Sheikhan district were also identified. Additionally, the workshop aimed to gather actionable ideas within the scope of launching initiatives and advocacy campaigns aimed at enhancing and strengthening peaceful coexistence between religions and preserving and protecting the antiquities in Sheikhan district.
