To enhance the capabilities of staff in Iraqi ministries regarding report writing and following up on recommendations issued by international human rights bodies, Peace and Freedom Organization (PFO) and Iraqi Human Rights Watch Association (IHRW), in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice/Department of Human Rights, Within TATWEER (Development) Civil Society Capacity Building program which is Funded by the European Union and implemented by the UPP Organization in partnership with the Al-Masala Organization, AL-Najah Center and the Shaqofyan Organization, a training held for representative’s region , including directors of human rights departments in ministries and bodies not affiliated with the ministry, and representatives of the authorities and ministries in the Kurdistan Regional Government. The training conducted in Erbil 19-21September 2024.
 
The workshop covered three main topics: the foundations of the human rights treaty system, national mechanisms for report preparation, and practical applications, challenges, and solutions.
Participants actively engaged with the training sessions, motivated by the desire to enhance their skills and to respond professionally to international recommendations.
