In collaboration with the Social Work Department at Salahaddin University, the Peace and Freedom Organization is supporting a graduate student in preparing a comprehensive report that explores how workers' rights are addressed within the Social Work and Sociology Department programs, as well as in related research projects.
Data collection began on September 24, 2024, with two focus group discussions. The first session involved 8 students from the Social Work Department, followed by a second session with 8 students from the Sociology Department later the same day. These discussions focused on how workers' rights are covered in academic programs, class discussions, research, and the students’ exposure to relevant topics beyond the classroom.
The insights gathered will be used to inform the report on workers' rights in both departments. This initiative is part of the (Improving Human Rights Conditions and Enhancing Democratic Participation) project, implemented by the Peace and Freedom Organization in partnership with Norwegian People's Aid
