On 12/ 11/, 2024, the Peace and Freedom Organization supported an activist in organizing a one-day workshop on empowering women workers' rights in Bashiqa District.
The workshop was attended by 15 women’s from various sectors of the local factories in Bashiqa. Discussions focused on the challenges women face in the workplace, highlighting their professional and social needs and the realities of their daily lives. The primary goal of the session was to advocate for the rights of female workers, address the unique challenges they encounter, and explore ways to improve working conditions, particularly in the district's local factories.
This initiative is part of the (Promoting Workers' Rights and Freedom of Syndication) project, which is implemented by the Peace and Freedom Organization in partnership with the Norwegian People’s Aid Organization.
