The Peace and Freedom Organization (PFO), in collaboration with Women for Women International, launched a specialized Vocational training on 12/1/2025 in Mosul. The course, attended by 15 women from different areas of Mosul, focuses on equipping participants with practical skills in the cake, pastries, and sweets industry. The training will continue until 27/1/2025, providing participants with a valuable 12-day opportunity to learn and practice essential skills.

On the first day of the training, Mr. Tamam Al-Obaidi, responsible for Volunteer Work at the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Nineveh, visited the trainees. He provided an overview of the "Riyada" program and its governmental objectives, which aim to develop the skills of young people of both genders, motivate them to achieve their aspirations by building self-confidence, organizing workshops and consultations, as well as offering government loans to start projects.

He also expressed the Directorate's support for such activities and its collaboration with organizations. The goal of this Vocational course is to help women start and run their own businesses in baking and making sweets, boosting their confidence and skills in creating high-quality products.

This activity is part of the "Empowering Young Women with Skills towards Community Leadership" project, which is implemented by the Peace and Freedom Organization in partnership with Women for Women International, and generously funded by the United Kingdom International Support Fund (UKISF).
