As part of the project "Counteracting Disinformation Generated by Artificial Intelligence," Peace and Freedom Organization conducted the second training course in Erbil for 25 journalists and media school students from different universities.
 
The participants included both male and female students and journalists from various cities and towns across the Kurdistan Region and Kirkuk governorate. The course lasted for three days between January 16-18,2025.
 
The course aimed to build the capacity of journalists and media school students from various universities, equipping them to participate in campaigns to counter disinformation generated by Artificial Intelligence.
 
On the first day of the training, Kimberly Strollo, Public Diplomacy Officer and her team from the U.S. Consulate General in Erbil participated and engaged in close discussions with the participants. They emphasized on the importance of these types of training courses and working with their partners in the Kurdistan Region.
 
This activity is part of a series of training courses within the project, which the Peace and Freedom Organization is implementing with financial support from the U.S. Consulate General in Erbil. The project activities are planned to continue in the coming month
