On April 13, 2025, the Peace and Freedom Organization, in partnership with Search for Common Ground, held a coordination meeting with members of the Peaceful Coexistence Commission in Shekhan District, as part of the "JISRA - Joint Initiative for Religious Strategic Action" project.

The meeting aimed to develop a joint action plan to support the Peaceful Coexistence Commission and unify efforts to launch advocacy campaigns this year aimed at influencing decision-makers and local community leaders in Shekhan District. Discussions also focused on the importance of preserving religious monuments, combating hate speech, and promoting peaceful coexistence.

Attendees emphasized the need to actively influence the local government to adopt, support, and develop the efforts of the Peaceful Coexistence Commission to ensure its sustainability and contribution to promoting sustainable peace.
