From May 22-24, 2025, Peace and Freedom Organization-PFO, with financial support from the U.S. Consulate General in Erbil, organized the 4th three-days training session in Erbil for 25 journalists and media school university students from the Kurdistan Region and Kirkuk Governorate.
The activity is part of the PFO’s efforts, aimed at capacity building for journalists and media school university students across various cities and towns, and preparing and engaging them to counter AI-generated disinformation.
During the activity, a representative from the US Consulate General-Erbil participated to discuss with participants and highlight the importance of such activities.
The training is part of a series of trainings for capacity building of 100 journalists and media school university students that the Peace and Freedom Organization implements within the framework of the project "Countering AI-generated Disinformation."
