Over two days, a training workshop was held in Kirkuk on UN Resolution 1325 of Women, Peace, and Security and the Third National Plan of Iraq. The workshop was attended by employees from government departments within the Women's Affairs Department.

The workshop focused on the resolution's three main pillars: participation, institutional reform, protection and prevention.

It also highlighted Iraq's vision for implementing the resolution within the Third National Plan for the years 2025-2030.

The workshop is part of the project to enhance women's participation in peace and security, implemented by the Peace and Freedom Organization in partnership with the Women for Women international organization.
