Over two consecutive days, *14 and 15 August 2026, the **PFO–NABNI Project* successfully concluded its verification and validation sessions in Erbil, bringing together the *PFO–NABNI Project Team, the **KOHRW Team, a government representative from the **Water Directorate in Daquq – Kirkuk, and four selected members of the **Daquq Community Platform*.
The sessions focused on reviewing and discussing key findings, as well as verifying the *needs and priorities of the local community regarding water services*, ensuring that the recommendations reflect the realities on the ground and respond to the needs of Daquq residents.
The participation of community representatives, government authorities, and partner organizations provided an important opportunity for direct dialogue, exchange of perspectives, and developing a shared understanding of the challenges and possible solutions for improving water services in the district.
At the conclusion of the two-day sessions, an important milestone was achieved as *representatives of the government authorities in Daquq and the partner organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding and a Roadmap for improving and distributing water services in Daquq District*, paving the way for more coordinated and sustainable cooperation.
Two days of dialogue, verification, and community participation concluded with a practical step towards translating local priorities into clear pathways for action and improved services.
