Center for Community Peace in Baquba - Diyala within the project "Promoting social cohesion - Diyala" implemented by the Organization for Peace and Freedom in Baquba with the support of UNDP. The campaign against violence against women, which lasted for 16 days and lasted from November 25 to December 10, was organized in Baquba, Diyala province.

The activities of the campaign were discussions and awareness sessions with students in several preparatory schools in Baquba on violence against women, the dangers of early marriage and the importance of completing the girls' education, in addition to distribution of brochures to female students and teachers. The students responded to the subject by talking about cases and stories of violence with them or with people They know them. As well as awareness sessions for women in the camps about violence against women and how displacement affected women.


As part of the activities of the campaign, the youth volunteers within the Center for Community Peace distributed thousands of brochures about the marriage of minors and their dangers, as well as explanation and awareness about its consequences and damages to the girl and the public in general with all those who meet him in public places or government departments such as the health sector, institutes and universities. People are responsive about the subject as well as expressed their opinions and experiences on this subject.
