
From June 25-27 of 2019 the representative of Peace and Freedom organization participated in the international (Innovative Citizen Participation) conference in the context of the Kurdistan Social Reform held in the Malaysian capital of kuala lumpur.
The conference was a part of the democratic support project supported by the European union commission to strengthen the roles of civil society organizations within the limited political environment. More than 100 representatives of civil society organizations and social movements from both north and northeast Asia and a handful of organizations from Arabic countries participated in the conference. And the EU commission ambassadors from different countries also participated in the conference.
In the conference they discussed the work that NGOs do within the limited environment that they operate in, the experiences of civil society organizations in the process of further developments of the democratic society and observing the election process and the use of media and information technology in the civil society organization’s work and the election process was discussed.
