Peace and Freedom Organization begins implementing the immediate response sterilization plan in Rumaitha district, south of the Muthanna Governorate

Sergio de Mello team to began implementing the organization's response plan to the outbreak of the Corona Virus in the Hilal area, south of the Rumaitha district.
On March 31, 2020, the WHO team embarked on the first steps to work on pollution caused by the virus outbreaks through general disinfection and local sterilization.

The implementation of the plan in the district comes in partnership with "Iraqi Health access Organization" and in coordination with the Muthanna Health Department via its Crisis- section to address Corona Virus, the Directorate of Civil Defense and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the province of Muthanna.

 

The choice of Al-Hilal district to implement a response plan comes as a result of the infection cases of more than 20 people and deaths, which led the governorate administration to implement a comprehensive containment plan by isolating the entire district from its surroundings and applying quarantine with the help of security and army forces.

Peace and Freedom Organization participated by its specialized team that is responsible for sterilizing the role of the infected or deaths, as it is considered the most polluted in the context of implementing the response plan.
On the sidelines of the implementation of the plan, the team met with the Director of Civil Defense, Brigadier General Muhammad Jassem, the Director of the Office of the Commission for Human Rights, Mr. Majed, and the Operations Department of the Muthanna Health Department, and its member Emad Al-Saleh, and the Mayor of Al-Hila, Ratib Al-Ajibi, where coordination was carried out to implement the terms of the response plan, while the team and its partners took the health center In Al-Hilal district, a headquarters for the implementation of the response plan is to be found.

Despite the difficult terrain in the region and the high level of direct threat as a result of the outbreak and the extension of the role over a wide area estimated at 10 km2, the team continues to implement the plan.
Sergio de Mello's team is expected to complete the full implementation of the plan within the next 48 hours.
