Peace and Freedom Organization the second among 496 local organizations responded to COVID-19 pandemic all over Iraq.

The Directorate of Non-Governmental Organizations published a detailed report about the campaigns carried out by local NGOs to reduce the outbreak of Coronavirus around the country, and PFO were in the second place by implementing 10 campaigns until 13 April 2020. As these campaigns targeted areas and neighborhoods considered dangerous hotspots for the outbreak of the new Coronavirus.

It is worth noting that these campaigns were carried out alongside with Sergio De-Mello team, one of the arms of PFO, whose team members had great efforts for the success of the campaigns in order to produce excellent results that are in the public interest.

The campaigns covered the provinces of Najaf and Karbala in addition to Baghdad and Muthanna and also Nineveh, as the number of beneficiaries of sterilization campaigns in these governorates reached more than 18,850 people and the campaigns are continuing in order to limit the outbreak of the this dangerous pandemic that literally paralyzed all joints of life.
