Peace and Freedom Organization (PFO) through its arm Sergio de Mello team completes all its preparations and begins within a maximum period of 48 hours the implementation of an immediate and urgent response plan in Basrah and Babil provinces.
The emergency plan comes as the immediate threat level of COVID-19 outbreaks in the two provinces has increased in the past 96 hours, particularly in Basra. Once again PFO confirms that implementing all tits work and plans carried out by Sergio de-Mello team is in absolute coordination with the relevant government agencies, especially the Iraqi Ministry of Health, the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, represented by the Directorate of Civil Defense and the High Commission for Human Rights in Iraq within the framework of partnership with them and all crisis cell structures in all provinces. In this context, Sergio de Mello's team calls on all actors in Iraqi society to support the team, which has a great moral and legal responsibility, by trying to reduce the outbreaks of the pandemic all over the country.
