Today, August 26, 2020, the Peace and Freedom Organization held a project to support Iraqi trade unions that it implements in five Iraqi provinces.

 Where the second meeting was held today in cooperation with the Syndicate of Technical Engineering Professions / Nineveh Branch, the first session of the project in Nineveh Governorate

 The reality of workers and their rights, activating the role of Iraqi trade unions and their work in Nineveh Governorate, and the reality of workers as a result of the economic and social conditions facing their work were discussed.

 Where a group of representatives of federations and trade unions, representatives of the Nineveh governorate office, interested activists, and workers in human rights and humanitarian organizations participated.

 The problems of workers and trade unions in the liberated governorates were raised, possible solutions were developed about issues related to workers ’problems in Nineveh Governorate, and educational programs for workers were made about the role of trade unions and encouraging joining and registration with them to ensure their rights.

 At the conclusion of the session, solutions were developed to work on, solve the gap between workers and unions, and recommendations were made for workers' health and social rights and wages, and fair decisions towards them with the support of civil society organizations, activists, unions and unions.
