Peace and Freedom Organization participated in a discussion session on law of the rights and privileges of the disabled and those with special needs

 A number of judges, lawyers and members of civil society organizations attended a special discussion session on the defects of the law of  rights and privileges of the disabled and those with special needs for the Kurdistan Region.

 The session was held on November 3, 2020 in Erbil Governorate. Members of the Peace and Freedom Organization participated in this session that was prepared by international organization.

The members of peace and freedom organization presented opinions and recommendations towards this law along with the recommendations and suggestions that were put forward in a meeting and will be raise to the Kurdistan Parliament for the purpose of amending the law.

 The Law of rights and privileges for the disabled and those with special needs for the Kurdistan Region - Iraq, No. 22 of 2011 was issued by the Kurdistan Parliament and includes 21 legal articles.
