On 11/16/2020, in the presence of a number of lawyers, activists, educators, volunteers, Director of the Oncology Hospital, Dr. Abdul Qadir Salem, and Rezgar Omer, coordinator of the Local Peace Committees Project in Nineveh, the PRA (Participatory Rapid Appraisal) report was presented and shared to the audience directly. 50 participants of specialists from the various fields in the city of Mosul attended the session.

 

 The session was moderated by: Ahmed Bajalan advocacy Team advisor in LPC (Local Peace Committees) Project in Nineveh. The report (Rapid Participatory Assessment) was presented in a community session consisting of (50 participants) of specialists from various fields in the city of Mosul.

 

It was a very successful meeting in terms of attendance and interventions according to the specialization of the people who participated in the meeting, notes and valuable interventions were taken.

 

The meeting agreed:-

 1- Update the report.

2- Entering new information and statistics into each specialized axis within the report, and linking it to recommendations.

3- Forming an action plan for the advocacy team for the second stage, to communicate recommendations to government agencies.

This activity is considered a great achievement, not only for the sustainability of the local peace committee’s project in Ninewa, but also for the quality and nature of community participation in the city to face the challenges that exist.
