On February 3, 2021, PFO met with representatives of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office, and they discussed the possibility of opening joint cooperation mechanisms in relation to preventing violent extremism PVE and the problems that Iraq suffers as a result of the ongoing conflicts.

 

Adel El-Sayed, representative of the office that based UK, expressed his desire to support the hard work to the improvement of the reality faced by Iraqi youth, especially those who have been directly affected by wars and political conflicts.

 

The meeting focused largely on what Peace and Freedom Organization did with regard to empowering youth, as they expressed their interest in supporting the National Coalition for Youth, Peace and Security 2250, which is considered a positive and serious step to create a safe environment for young people to express and demand their needs.
