Background of the Organization:


Peace and Freedom is a non-governmental and not-for-profit organization established in 2013 that works in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region to protect human rights and civil rights and ensure peaceful co-existence through promoting trust and collaboration between the diverse components of the society and supporting governmental and non-governmental institutions in developing policies guaranteeing freedoms, rights and social justice in accordance with international standards.
Background of the program:
Peace and Freedom Organisation (PFO) supported by search for Common Ground (SFCG)
Organization works together is promoting freedom of religion and belief in Sheikhan district -Duhok, in a specific project named Joint Initiative for Strategic Religious Action (JISRA), our goal is to enhance and promote freedom of religion and belief to strengthen civil society and community inclusive approaches regarding dealing with conflicts and conflicts results. The project is implementing in three targeted areas Kirkuk, Nineveh, and Shekhan. And aims to supports different communities to have their rights to make positive changes in their communities.
Reports to: Project Manager

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Support planning, development and implementation of JISRA Program in the targeted area.
Coordinate with beneficiary identification through a consultative community process
Having a role in organizing and facilitating dialogue activities or meetings, workshops, and visiting local authorities, civil society and communities in efforts to prevent violent conflict and promote cooperative approaches to peace building process.
Assist PFO in implementing activities.
Updating the PFO on local issues such as news related to the project topic, disputes, public statements of leaders, security updates, etc through weekly reports that should be sent from FP to the Project Manager.
Direct coordination with 25 stakeholders in Kirkuk and supporting youth and women teams to organize and implement social media/inclusion campaigns.
Travel to Erbil or the project location when needed.
Working as a team and respecting diverse community.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
The FP should be from the area and currently living in the targeted locations.
The FP should have minimum 1 year experience working with NGOs.
Having experience in Freedom of religious and believe program is an advantage.
FP should have knowledge in gender sensitive issues and working towards gender equality.
Language skills: (Kurdish, Arabic mandatory, English).
