Location:  Mosul + Nineveh Plain - Iraq

Background of the program

Peace and Freedom Organization (PFO) and GIZ work together in this project to Prepare a Gender-sensitive Conflict Analysis in Mosul and Nineveh Plain and reflect it through Do No Harm Analysis and create improved options for harmless interventions.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Focal Point will work closely with the consultant to coordinate sessions and field interviews with targeted people, such as NGO workers, Community leaders and female community members. He/she support planning, development, and implementation of the project activities in Mosul and Nineveh Plain.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Coordinate with participants to attend interviews and sessions.
  • Work close with the Consultant, Accountant, and Interviewers for organizing activities.
  • Write reports of the sessions and interviews.
  • Participate in research interviews, and transcript data.
  • If it needed, facilitated the dialogue sessions.

 

Qualifications:

  • Have wide relationships with the community, as well communication skills.
  • Have acceptable knowledge in Gender and peacebuilding.
  • Good computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Having good relations with NGO workers, Community leaders in Mosul and Nineveh plain.
  • Experience in conducting interviews and writing research.
  • Good analysis skills and paying attention to details.
  • Arabic language is required; English will be additional.
  • Preferably have a university degree in one of the following: peacebuilding, law, political science, sociology or other related fields.

 

TRAVEL REQUIRED:

  • Traveling is required to the activities, workshops… wherever is conducted and needed.
