Consultancy Title: Community Liaison Officer
Required: One Person
Duration: Three Months with possibility renewable
Duty Station: Daquq-Kirkuk-Iraq
who are we Peace and Freedom Organization, a non-governmental, non-profit organization, administratively and financially independent, established in 2013 and registered with the concerned authorities in the Department of NGOs. Head office in Erbil and works in multiple areas in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
Working in the Republic of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, to monitor and protect the human rights situations and ensure peaceful coexistence by promoting trust and cooperation among the various components of society.

The organization's goals
Spread the culture of peace building, conflict resolution and non-violence ethics. Promoting freedoms and human rights. Protect diversity and promote citizenship. Promote peaceful coexistence and values of tolerance. Building youth capacities and promoting voluntary work in society.
Organization’s Programs: The PFO has identified three main program areas where it will focus its work over the next four years:
PROGRAM I: PEACEBUILDING AND SOCIAL COHERENCE The Peacebuilding and Social Cohesion Program aim to preserve the diversity of the presence in Iraq, by building the capacity of individuals and key stakeholders, to resolve conflict and promote peace, also to ensure peaceful coexistence among communities with diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds, and to ensure appropriate policies for guaranteeing protection and participation of all groups in the society.
PROGRAM II: HUMAN RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS The objective of the rights and freedoms Program is to promote human rights, highlight violations of individual and collective rights and freedoms throughout Iraq. Also ensuring that appropriate government policies are in place to protect and promote these rights and freedoms.
PROGRAM III: TRANSITIONAL JUSTICE PROGRAM This Program aims to contribute to the dignity of individuals, recognition of violations, justice for victims and making efforts to prevent violations. In all
programs there are projects which include the participation of (genders, youth, minorities), and represent according to the principle (transparency).
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
· Support planning, development and implementation of PFO Program in the targeted area.
· Coordinate with beneficiary identification through a consultative community process
· Having a role in organizing and facilitating dialogue activities or meetings, workshops, and visiting local authorities, civil society and communities in efforts to prevent violent conflict and promote cooperative approaches to peace building process.
· Assist PFO in implementing activities.
· Updating the PFO on local issues such as news related to the project topic, disputes, public statements of leaders, security updates, etc through weekly reports that should be sent from COMMUNITY LIAISON OFFICER to the Project Manager.
· Travel to Erbil or the project location when needed.
· Working as a team and respecting diverse community.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
· The COMMUNITY LIAISON OFFICER should be from the area and currently living in the targeted locations.
· The COMMUNITY LIAISON OFFICER should have minimum 1 year experience working with NGOs.
· Having experience in Freedom of religious and believe program is an advantage.
· Language skills: (Arabic, English).
· Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills.
· Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task.
· Expert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
· Arabic and English language required
